Located on the first floor of the Cairo Mansions in South Bondi, the Bondi Social is the Sydney debut restaurant from owner Jamie Webb and Chef Ken Addington. Webb, an Australian who owned and managed Restaurants in New York City for the past 10 years enticed Chef Addington to create a wonderfully unique Sydney restaurant.
Addington who apprenticed under Thomas Keller (French Laundry) has a distinguished career which includes three star New York restaurants Picholine, Patroon and Town. He and Webb opened Eight Mile Creek, the highly celebrated Australian influenced restaurant in Soho, for which they were accredited with two stars in the New York Times.
Chef Addington, inspired by the diversity of Australian produce, combines classical and modern techniques to create a menu that is eclectic and elegant in thought, yet exciting & flavorsome to the palate.
The Bondi Social marries downtown New York chic with the Bondi lifestyle and has arguably one of the best views in Sydney, overlooking Australia's most iconic beach. The charming room is fitted out with recycled Queensland hardwood and warm earth colours and textures.
Bondi Social is available for functions and group bookings, please call the restaurant during office hours for details.
